About Me
There is always a struggle when doing something you love for a living. Do you maintain your love of it or does it turn into a slog. After 10 years in the feature film industry I find it amazing how I can still be moved by the art on a frame. I still find myself pausing on frames to analyze what is going on. I don’t just like working on films, I love it. It’s a passion that I never stop thinking about. I love creating something that moves the audience. That’s my ultimate goal.
Two other things I’m passionate about are people and education. I’ve taught lighting in many formats and I got through to people just what is so special about the craft of lighting. Seeing students understand the difference between a good frame and a bad frame and watching their understanding change throughout the class is a special feeling.
One of my greatest accomplishments has been being a lead and making my team feel valued, motivate & inspired. It’s a special privilege to guide your team through a difficult production and come out of it with amazing frames and long term friends.
